Introducing Our CYN Builders: Meet Foster Mbir
The impact of investing in one young person reaches far beyond what we imagine. One person learns, grows, and finds the confidence to lead, and before long, they are inspiring others and bringing their community along with them.
That is part of the story behind the change happening in Ekumfi Dunkwa, where a young leader is helping turn a shared vision for rural development into community action.

Meet Foster Mbir, one of the young leaders making a difference through The Builder’s Foundation and the Community Youth Network (CYN)!
My name is Foster Mbir, a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School with a degree in Accounting. I worked with PwC Ghana as a Finance Associate. My expertise is in all things finance and accounting. I am the Impact Officer for Global Shapers Communit, Cape Coast Hub. I am committed to rural development, transformation, and mindset shift.
Through The Builder’s Foundation and CYN, I have mentored 300 students on career guidance and course selection, inspired 300 students in rural communities to dream big and pursue education with excellence, and leveraged LinkedIn to inspire many people on the need to contribute to rural development. And now, we are looking forward to empowering the Social Club through training and financing.
Foster’s story is a reminder of what can happen when young people are equipped to lead and given the opportunity to put their skills into action.
As a TBF mentee, Foster received training in community leadership and went on to mobilise an inspiring team driving change in Ekumfi Dunkwa. His journey reflects the ripple effect we hope to create through our work: investing in young people who, in turn, inspire others and contribute to the development of their communities.
From mentoring students on their academic and career choices to encouraging conversations about rural development, Foster continues to champion a future where young people have the confidence, knowledge, and opportunities to shape their own paths.
Looking ahead, he hopes to support the Social Club in Ekumfi Dunkwa through training and financing, helping strengthen its capacity to continue making a difference in the community.
At TBF, stories like Foster’s remind us that our work does not end with training or mentorship. The real impact comes when young people take what they have learned and use it to bring others along.
We are proud to celebrate Foster and the team he has helped mobilise in Ekumfi Dunkwa.
One young leader can inspire a team. One team can help transform a community.
